Minneapolis Art Institute selection for Art Per Chance, "Heron."
The great blue heron was perched on a log along the Mississipi River when I was plein air painting scenes of the Minneapolis skyline. I seized the moment and did several studies of this majestic bird for as long as he would allow me.
