It’s not that I’m a prude, for letting folks know that what they might see here is some nudity. Quite the contrary, I’ve been dealing with nude models since I was 17, a freshman in art school. I include something about the content, just so I won’t expose viewers to something for which they are not prepared. I have a student who is 15 years of age, and I live in the Bible Belt, so fill in the blanks.

Last Saturday I went to my fourth Long Pose Figure Study session at Artspace in Raleigh. You can see below the three previous studies I did in this session. Today’s are nothing like those I did in my other long pose figure sessions. These are actually composed of several quick-figure studies. Knowing that I’d be painting a wedding that afternoon, I used the time with the model as a warm-up for the painting that would follow in the afternoon. Please do visit my WeddingWatercolors.com website, and also see the resulting images from the down home wedding I did on Saturday.
